The First National Bank of New Windsor was founded in 1864 and
was the 747th National Bank in the United States and the 5th
chartered in Maryland.
The present bank building was erected in 1914
and operated as the First National Bank of New Windsor until
it was purchased in 1932 by the newly organized New Windsor
State Bank which opened for business on September 3, 1932.
In the Summer of 1995 the New Windsor State
Bank renovated the adjoining pharmacy area and former post
office and the bank was enlarged to encompass the original
First National Bank area of 1864. The first branch was opened
in Westminster at the College Square Shopping Center in July
2000.
In November of 2001, New Windsor State Bank
opened its third branch location at 181 East Main Street in
downtown Westminster. Known as the "Loan Center",
this branch primarily serves the consumer and business loan
needs of Carroll County and has a limited service commercial
depository, night drop and ATM. We opened the Twin Arch Branch
of Mt. Airy in September of 2003, and also established an
investment division named Windsor
Investment Services.
The residents and business community of Taneytown
"Asked for us and Got us" on October 31, 2005 as
we opened our fifth branch located on the corner of East
Baltimore Street and Trevanion Road. Then, on April 10, 2006,
we celebrated again with the opening of our Market Place
branch, located just in front of BJ's Wholesale Club in Westminster.
We invite you to stop by any of our branch
locations for a cup of coffee and friendly conversation.
We're your hometown convenience bank!
